Captain Mike

Introduction:

My name is Mike, I’m a licensed captain, instructor, retired naval officer, and Founder and President of Virginia Maritime Solutions. During my 21 year naval career I captained high speed small craft, led and trained diverse maritime teams, and had the unique pleasure to captain civilian sailboats, yachts, and powerboats. I served 51 months abroad in 26 countries, which provided tremendous opportunity for learning and growth, and serves as the foundation of my expertise. I enjoy sharing my passion for boating and nature, and I volunteer as a youth basketball coach and Virginia Boating Safety Instructor.  

Objective:

As your Charter Boat Captain, Delivery Captain, and/or on-water instructor, my goal is to provide a safe, fun, and memorable experience. I bring vast experience, local knowledge, and a vibrant sense of humor. 

My desire is to share my diverse experience so others can take the helm.

Introduction:

First Mate Hayden Italiano is a former ships company Search and Rescue swimmer and sailor, active Virginia Beach Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician, and gas/diesel engine expert. During his varied professional career he has served as First Mate aboard high speed civilian boats, trawlers, sail boats, and down east style motor yachts. Hayden is a dedicated father, husband, public servant, avid mariner and angler.
